First birth of 1985 at Chetwynd Hospital
The first baby of 1985 born at Chetwynd Hospital was a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Nadda of Tumbler Ridge. She arrived at 1 40 am weighing 9 pounds 11 ounces and was named Fadia by Randa and Bachir Nadda. The family, originally from Syria, recently moved from Elliot Lake and now live in Tumbler Ridge where Mr. Nadda works for Quintette. The Baby and parents will receive gifts from the local business community including pamper supplies, a dinner, gift certificates, and a variety of items from several shops. The Chetwynd Hospital Auxiliary gave a baby blanket, and the father expressed thanks to Mary Saunders and Mavis McFarlane for their donations toward hospital equipment.
