Infrared scan saves downtown Chetwynd from outage
Chetwynd BC Hydro crews used infrared camera scans to locate a hot spot on a power pole behind the Foothills Building. Lineman Mike Stender shut the burned wires just in time, restoring power within half an hour and preventing damage to shops including Shop Easy Foods and the Foothills Building offices.
