Bullmoose manager discusses union drive and benefits
On February 10 1994 Bullmoose manager Jack Tuomi sent a memo to mining staff about CEP organizing efforts. He touted existing job security safety and open communication while noting recent policy changes such as removing the Rubber Boot Program unlimited bank time and unlimited vacation carryover. The Steelworkers union leader countered that benefits are eroding and signaled potential action whereas CEP expressed its intent as a Canadian industrial union seeking to represent Bullmoose workers.
