Land donation correction and city recreation land history
Correction notes that West Fraser donated an empty lot rather than the pool land. Sale proceeds will become the donation. The ten acre site from the Library to the hill above Peace Country Rentals was acquired in 1956 by local clubs earlier granted title to three individuals, Maurice Barrett Bud Campbell and Stan Kurjata, enabling today’s recreation facilities.
