Winter wildlife wandering through snow and feeding patterns
A winter note describes moose and deer using a driveway to reach feed while flocks of redpolls chickadees and grosbeaks visit deck feeders. It notes a bell covered moose, unusual grosbeak hissing, blue jays and hair woodpeckers near edge feeders, and a nighttime deterrent effect on nocturnal rodents. It also recounts a garbage bag incident where an animal dragged a bag and rifled contents, prompting keeping bags indoors until disposal.
