Park Exclusion Debate Stalls in Council Meeting

On February 15 the Community Park Coalition met with the Council Committee of the Whole to seek excluding 400 to 800 hectares from the 14544 hectare Forest proposal. Attendees included Merlin Nichols Laverne Norris and the Mayor, with no quorum for a decision. West Moberly and Chetwynd form the Community Forest partners. Clarence Wilson was invited to speak. Sangstad stated the Park exclusion would not affect viability, and the Community Forest cannot block gas or oil drilling.
