Northern Lights College on strike as classes canceled
Northern Lights College students faced another day without classes as 130 support workers joined a rotating strike across several BC colleges. Union president George Heyman urged government involvement, citing the BC Place deal as a model for settlement and warning of further disruption if colleges do not reach terms. The union seeks a seven percent raise over four years plus equal benefits for support staff.
