Chetwynd to Close Unemployment Office March 29 1996
The federal government plans to close the Chetwynd unemployment office on March 29 as part of deficit reduction. Services will shift to other groups, with job vacancy kiosks and forms moved to Northern Lights College and district offices. Staff will be laid off and 1-800 numbers provided for employers and employees for employment records and claims.
