Railway financing for Tumbler Ridge Branch Line extension
Finance Minister Hugh Curtis announced that BC Rail will arrange up to 300 million in bankers acceptances through Toronto Dominion Bank to fund the Tumbler Ridge Branch Line extension. Proceeds cover construction costs and retirement of notes to provincial trusteed accounts, with rates under 10 percent.
