Hudson's Hope Council Dismisses Recreation Tourism Co-ordinator
In a unanimous vote the Hudson's Hope Council terminated the Recreation Tourism Co-ordinator post amid fears of reduced provincial and other grants. Martin Dalsin, in office since 1989, was informed last week. Mayor Lenore Harwood said recreation and tourism are no longer viable as a council function. The town debates 1994 95 budget cuts, possible InfoCentre sale, and outsourcing services while funding may shift to fire and emergency programs.
