Jackfish Lake Hosts Monthly Country Market Event

The Jackfish Community Centre hosts a country market to raise funds for the hall upkeep. Held on the last Sunday each month from 11 am to 4 pm, the event features vendors Penny Yadernak Pat Roberts Shirley Weeks Alice Johnson and Alice Gauthier among about eight participants with more planned. A Valentine’s dance is planned for Feb 17 with details via Chris at 788-3919.

Moving Beyond Survival Residential Schools Documentary

APTN Newsworld Vision TV present a two part exploration of Aboriginal residential schools from 1879 to 1996. Survivors recount abuse, cultural loss, and the healing journey across generations as lawsuits unfold and communities seek restoration. Part one airs February 8 at 7 pm, with repeats. Part two airs February 15 and 18 at 7 pm.
