Cafe music night spotlights local talent in CHETWYND
Sue's Café hosted a 2008 coffee house music night on January 24 featuring local acts led by host Rachel Neale. Ian Smith and Rick Slack opened with folksy blues, followed by Monica Hillton and Hugh Spinney, then younger musicians Lorne and Josh Stanyer with Christian soft rock. Debuts by Drew Beattie and Johnny Campbell drew warmly, ending with a collaborative open jam and a unique Thumbelina instrument performance. Neighboring artists and a friendly crowd boosted the atmosphere as Sue's plans monthly arts nights.
