Westcoast Energy aims to expand Pine River Gas Plant
Westcoast Energy held an open house on January 27 to discuss expanding the Pine River Gas Plant 23 km west of Chetwynd on Commotion Mountain. The project, awaiting National Energy Board approval, would create 14 to 18 new plant jobs and about 800 pipeline jobs at peak, with local hiring pledges and a public hearing planned for April 1993.
