Newcomers Rise in Local District Elections Across Province

The regional district results show varied shifts with 68 percent of directors and many councillors returning. New candidates lacking local or provincial government experience gained ground, with five to nine percent of mayors and 22 to 30 percent of councillors and nine to 16 percent of directors new to governing.
