Oil and Gas Commission funds two $1000 awards at Northern Lights College
Fort St John awarding two $1000 scholarships to second year Land and Resource Management students. Northern Lights College president Jim Kassen and Oil and Gas Commissioner Derek Doyle say the grants support local training for regional careers in oil and gas, forestry and environmental fields. The program, first of its kind in the province, blends industry input with aboriginal and government partners and features a Nabors on campus service rig for hands on safety and operation training.
