Small earthquake rocks Peace River area in B C
A 3.5 magnitude earthquake shook the Peace River region near Fort St. John late Monday causing minor damage. Mayor Steve Thorlakson and resident Karen Goodings reported felt shaking with no significant damage. The last similar quake was 3.0 in May 2003. Thorlakson notes oil and gas activity as a suspected cause.
