Stained glass window honors historic Liverpool scene at The Brass
The Brass at Moberly Lake opened with a biblical window purchased by Casy and Lucy Loan from a Canada auction. The piece, once in St Peters Cathedral Liverpool in memory of Andrew Boyd who died in 1872, drew guests as Mayor Lasser lit the room. Chef Peter Silk carved lard pieces for display as the venue, seating 120, offered dancing and live weekend music.

National Truck Hero named from Ontario
Terry Kennedy of Barrie Ontario is named this year’s National Truck Hero for rescuing three men trapped in a burning dump truck after it overturned on Horner Ave Etobicoke on October 23 1981. Kennedy and Mathew Fowler aided by Ontario Provincial Police were praised for preventing fatalities. The award honors heroism by a professional truck driver and is sponsored by Firestone Canada Inc endorsed by the Canada Safety Council. Kennedy received an OPP Bravery Award on September 17 1982.
