Seniors start unique day program in Chetwynd

A new Adult Day Away program at Chetwynd General Hospital offers seniors a day of socializing activities and a hot lunch. Transportation is provided for three months by Standard Bus thanks to a $2,500 Canfor donation. Five seniors currently participate with pickup and return at home, Tuesday and Friday sessions 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Chetwynd Leisure Pool confirms winter closure for maintenance

The Chetwynd Leisure Pool will close for cleaning and maintenance until December 27 citing data showing lowest attendance in winter. Director George Goodwin says shutdowns prevent unscheduled breakdowns and notes two annual closures balance club needs with holidays and New Year resolutions.
