Price, elected president in 1975 at the Richmond AGM, resides in Burnaby and serves as Traffic Manager of Canadian Auto Carriers Limited.

Socreds seize BC election sweep led by Bennett win
South Peace Social Credit MLA Don Phillips hailed the upset as the people’s choice as Socreds win 36 seats to form BC’s new government. Bill Bennett, 43, crowned premier, with NDP at 17, Liberals and Conservatives one each. Phillips won Dawson Creek 2,630 votes. NDP foe Corliss Miller 2,161.

South Peace Voters Turnout Edges Up In Cold Election
Voters in the South Peace province turnout 7,049 of 11,261 eligible, a 63 percent rate despite sub-zero temperatures. Don Phillips and the Social Credit Party captured 62 percent of the South Peace vote, a 20 percent rise from 1972. The results show growing support for Social Credit and the NDP.

Canfor Chetwynd Division to add second shift in 1976
Canfor Chetwynd Division will begin a second shift at the Sawmill early in 1976, hiring 35 to 40 workers in January. A second planer shift is planned in a few months for another 35 to 40 staff.
