Chetwynd council closes year with health and doctor plans
The District of Chetwynd held its final 1998 meeting on December 10. Healthy Communities outlined Wheels to Meals, community kitchens, and gardens to combat isolation, promote nutrition, and expand meal programs for homebound residents. Hospital Action Committee raised urgent physician recruitment needs, noting two doctors for on call and CMA on call limits. A three member committee was appointed to develop a plan to present to the Health Minister in January.
