Chetwynd area schools face bus service disruption after Standard Bus drivers, members of Teamsters Local 31, authorized a strike as contract expired. Crime prevention indexing completes for Moberly and Jackfish areas
The RCMP Crime Prevention Unit finished door to door contact with about 200 homeowners in Moberly Lake and Jackfish Lake Road. Information was recorded on index cards, mapped, and provided to RCMP Ambulance, Chetwynd Fire, and local fire departments to aid rapid location in emergencies. Chetwynd & District R and Gun Club received 3000 for a Sundane Lakes prescribed burn, with 1200 now and 1800 later in 1984 85, totaling near 12000 including club contribution beyond 50 percent Public Conservation Assistance Fund limits.
