Festival of Trees raises over 4500 for library programs
Chetwynd Public Library's Festival of Trees drew about 80 attendees, auctioning 11 trees and two wreaths in live and silent auctions. The Moccasin Flats Metis Mother Daughter Program tree led with a $1100 bid paid by Talisman, while Spectra Energy bought the Quilter's Guild tree for $800 and Lakeview Credit Union purchased the Xi Epsilon Kappa Sorority tree for $650. The event supports Lunch and Tales and other family literacy programs, with organizers aiming for around $4500 after expenses.
