Wildlife Offences In Hudson's Hope Court
In Hudson's Hope Provincial Court on November 15 1989 Raymond Cota was fined 750 for canning fish caught by sportfishing on Willis ton Lake and for possessing canning gear the court ordered forfeited. A second offender was fined 150 for using a fish as bait on Willston Lake. Trials set for March 14 1990 involve Joseph Schlegel and John Douglas English over wildlife acts and deer or moose incidents. Kenneth Daniels received 500 fine and one year hunting suspension plus rifle forfeiture after a damaged moose incident. Several defendants failed to appear on Wildlife Act charges related to killing wildlife. Public notice urges reporting poaching and notes rewards offered by the BC Wildlife Federation.
