A Saturday evening gathering at Elks Hall celebrated Chase and Olive Westgate’s fifty years of marriage. The couple wed November 25, 1925 in Lloydminster Sask and later farmed before moving to Chetwynd in 1950 to work in lumber. An 8 pm surge of well wishers followed a 48-person family supper, with visitors from Dawson Creek Fort St John and Powell River joining in.
