Agreement on Columbia River treaty principles reached

B C Hydro BPA and the United States Army Corps of Engineers signed principles and procedures to clarify calculating downstream benefits under the treaty. Officials say this is not a renegotiation or reallocation and does not affect Canada’s entitlement after 1998. The agreement reflects extensive cooperative study by EPA officials Hydro and BPA representatives and the Corps.
