Aspen logging area shows elk and deer in regrowth
A logging operation on Aspen’s eastern slopes notes abundant elk, moose, and deer tracks. Workers clear cut about 100 acres, leaving buffer zones and native saplings to support wildlife and cattle grazing. The 20 acre valley site, cut in 1987, now hosts eight foot poplars and thriving grasses. Moore earned 40000 dollars for 20 acres and plans future harvesting.
