Timberlake elected as NDP president in Prince George area
Alan Timberlake of Salmon Valley was chosen as constituency president at the Tomslake AG M meeting of the Prince George Peace River New Democrats. Ken Benham Rene Sasseville and Jan Timberlake were elected to key posts. Seven delegates will attend the Winnipeg national convention later this year to select a new NDP leader. Timberlake vowed to strengthen party organization in the Peace and to press Westminster issues including forestry policy and local development with M P Brian Gardiner.
