Local women push plan to curb Chetwynd stray pets
Stacia Keenan and Margo Peel of Chetwynd Veterinary Hospital aim to form a non profit group to reduce stray animals in the District of Chetwynd. They spoke with Mayor Charlie Lasser who supported the idea. They emphasize spaying and neutering to lower the pet population and note stray dogs impact tourism and hospital resources. Trevor Reeves adds enforcement of bylaws could help and says dogs are more visible than cats, leaving many cats hidden realities.
