Chetwynd Receives Towns for Tomorrow Grant
Chetwynd will gain 400000 dollars for sanitary sewer and water extension along Westgate Road under the Towns for Tomorrow program announced by Blair Lekstrom. The project serves nine rural lots, the municipal museum, and the cemetery, extending services to 25-30 people with total cost about 1114000 dollars. The program funds up to 80 percent of eligible costs for projects up to 500000 dollars, part of a 21 million dollar provincial initiative to aid small municipalities.
