Anglo American expands Roman mine at Tumbler Ridge
Anglo American begins phase one construction on the Roman mine near Tumbler Ridge, expanding the Trend coal project to boost metallurgical coal exports to Asia. The $200 million project, aided by a Mines Act permit amendment on Aug 7 2013, aims for full production in 2014, safeguarding 450 jobs for 16 more years.
