Spectra outlines pipeline expansion near Chetwynd
Spectra Energy officials spoke at the August 10 meeting about the High Pine Expansion Project extending the main BC transmission line with two loops a 9 km segment northwest of Wonowon and a 29 km stretch from Dinosaur Lake to Compressor Station 2. The 42 inch line will run parallel for about 15 km, add a 30,000 horsepower compressor at Sunset Creek, and in service by end of 2016. Local labour and tourism are emphasized with First Nations archeology completed.
