No fanfare for start of Site C dam construction
In 2010 Premier Gordon Campbell announced plans for Site C at Hudson's Hope with a media event costing 360 000 dollars and about 100 workers. BC Hydro says there are no plans to mark the start of Site C work, and other departments echo the low profile as construction began late last month.

Chetwynd Gas Price Rise Not So Shocking
In Chetwynd gas rose three cents to 131.9 cents per litre, among the lowest in the South Peace, while Dawson Creek stations listed unleaded at 114.9 to 138.9 cents and Fort St. John climbed about ten cents to around 138.9. Analyst Dan McTeague called the jump historical, noting it echoed a similar 12 cent rise in September 2008.
