New Deer Licence Tags For British Columbia Hunters
The Ministry of Environment introduces a new deer licence system for the regular hunting season starting September 15 in the Omineca Peace Region. Hunters receive a licence card and may buy up to three stamps labeled Antlered Only or Antlered and Antlerless, one stamp per season. Stamps cost $8 each and valid CORE cards serve as hunter numbers. Upon kill, hunters punch holes on the deer card to record date region species sex and age, with potential penalties for improper cancellation. Hunters should submit tooth samples from all ungulates with a return envelope and questionnaire.
