Rotary Millennium Youth Park officially handed over to District
The Rotary Millennium Sports Park in Chetwynd was officially handed to the District during a grand opening last Tuesday. Dignitaries Mayor Lasser MP Jay Hill and Rotary District 5370 Governor Larry Johnson cut the ribbon. The four year, million dollar project began in spring 1998 and was completed ahead of the 2003 schedule. Facilities include two soccer fields a speed skating oval and a club house. Local clubs and officials praised Rotary for turning a wall of trees into a thriving park with strong community support and government backing.
