Dillon Mine plans to start production in October
Western Canadian Coal Corp invited the public to an July 29 2004 open house at the Recreation Complex to outline Dillon Mine plans and regulatory steps. About 20 attendees learned the mine near Highway 29 and Sukunka FS R would produce 250 000 tonnes yearly with a 1.2 km by 200 m site, a single pit, four waste dumps, and trucking to Tumbler Ridge and Prince Rupert.
