Busy summer at Chetwynd Chamber Travel InfoCentre
From June 15 to July 20 1993 the InfoCentre welcomed 2496 visitors. Canada Day Wiener BBQ and fireworks drew a large crowd despite rain with 600 hotdogs given away and 300 in corporate donations plus 175 from members. The Grand Council of Treaty 8 1st Nations visit July 12–16 featured 100 free swim passes and Little Giant Packages. RCMP Musical Ride arrival July 12 13 yielded personal welcomes and a group photo. Northern Woods and Water Routes caravan stayed July 11 with 30 packages and a seniors potluck. Staff training completed and InfoCentre open 12 hours daily through September. Free municipal campground praised by visitors. BC flag stolen, new signage planned. For more info call 788-3345.
