BC introduces Commercial Backcountry Recreation Policy
BC Lands announces a new Commercial Backcountry Recreation Policy to regulate 250 existing Crown land businesses and 150 seeking to start. The plan, developed with broad consultation, aims to protect the environment, reduce user conflicts, ensure public access, and boost rural investment while negotiations with First Nations continue. The policy will integrate existing hunting, fishing, and heli skiing policies upon finalization.
