Bankruptcy seen as positive safety net says Vancouver lawyer
Vancouver lawyer David Gagnon argues bankruptcy is not evil but a positive process that saves debtors from financial ruin. He cites a couple in their sixties who rebuild their lives through bankruptcy and notes Parliament intended it as a fresh start to re-enter society productively. Softwood timber inventories show two thirds of mature timber inland and one third on the coast, with 1987 production totaling 56.8 million and 33.8 million cubic metres respectively.
