Peace River grant helps grain and oilseed farmers in B C
In a July 26 announcement minister Corky Evans said a one time 1.4 million provincial grant will aid Peace River region grain and oilseed farmers with rising costs and to match support in other western provinces. The funding will be administered by the B C Grain Producers Association and cover benefits and costs.

Community auction funds special project in Tumbler Ridge
The Tumbler Ridge Diversification Society hosts an auction at the Community Centre on August 5 to raise proceeds for tourism and a Golden Eagle study. Tumbler Ridge Granted $800,000 Contingency Aid This Week
The province will provide Tumbler Ridge with its annual 800000 grant under a contingency agreement to fund core services like sewers water and roads. Municipal Affairs Minister Cathy MacGregor announced the aid during a Peace region visit and a regional district meeting.
