The Shrine Helped a Polio Stricken Girl See Portland Care

Brenda Ghostkeeper aged 18 months contracted polio after vaccination, becoming crippled in her left leg. Shriner Bobby Burns and the Shrine arranged rapid aid, flying Brenda and her parents to Portland USA for 13½ years of operations and care. The Daughters of the Nile hosted birthdays and schooling while visiting stars and Rose Bowl players offered support.
