Meikle Wind Energy project kicks off near Tumbler Ridge BC
Pattern Energy Group LP begins road building for the 185 megawatt Meikle Wind project located 33 kilometres from Tumbler Ridge. About 150 workers will be on site during construction with peak staffing up to 275. first Nations contracts include Duz Cho Construction LP. The 61 turbine facility, granted an Environmental Assessment Certificate in 2014, aims for operation in late 2016 under a 25 year BC Hydro power purchase agreement.
