Warning to kite flyers near powerlines in BC Canada
B C Hydro officials led by District Manager Heinz Mueller warn residents to keep kites away from powerlines. Wooden poles carry both low voltage lines and 6900 volt circuits, and a wet or plastic kite can create a fatal connection. Parents should ensure dry lines and forbid flying near lines, leaving any entangled kite to trained linemen.
