Body of Derek Kjelgren Found Near Hudsons Hope
Police confirm the decomposed body located 15 kilometres from Hudsons Hope is Derek Kjelgren. The 21 year old Fort Saint John man was last seen August 15 1995 at 6 45 am awaiting a ride to the oil patch where he worked as a summer student. A high speed off road crash is suspected.

District and union contract reached in Chetwynd
The four year deal between the District of Chetwynd and about 50 employees provides wage increases of 1.8 percent in year one, 2 percent in years two and four, and 1.5 percent in year three. Ron Poole led negotiations with the Canadian Union Employees and the agreement aligns with the government's Employee Standards Act. The contract was approved in April.
