CT Scan Approved for Peace Region Hospital

After a decade of waiting Dawson Creek hospital will receive a refurbished CT scanner this year. Health Minister Joy MacPhail announced the deal as hospital leaders praised cost savings and reduced patient travel to Grande Prairie for imaging services.

Thieves Steal Hospice Palliative Care Donations at Trade Show

The Trade Show attendance fell slightly to 1363 over three days. Late Sunday a thief stole 300 to 400 dollars in small change from the Chamber of Commerce booth funding the Hospice and Palliative Care Society, leaving a red tin, a pint jar, a brown envelope, a TD Deposit Bag, and a small plastic lid container missing. RCMP asks for information.
