Weekend Closure of Chetwynd ER Highlights Doctor Shortage
The Chetwynd General Hospital emergency room shut from 6:00 Friday to 8:00 Monday due to physician fatigue and limited local coverage. Most non-continuing care patients were discharged or moved, Saturday walk-in clinic canceled, and Dawson Creek physicians available only by telephone as on-call support.
