Goals and funding plan for Chetwynd Economic Development Commission
A fragmented memo outlines EDC goals to attract industrial firms to Chetwynd, shift small business responsibilities to the Chamber of Commerce and FED Bank, promote the town via brochures and Trade Journal ads, and establish ties with Vancouver's Opportunities Office. It recommends using senior district staff, adding half-time EDC support, and a funding formula with Peace River Liard Regional District matching funds. Quarterly budget reviews and prior approval of expenditures over 500 are proposed.
