Shirley Duran Built a Career from Cleanup to Electrical Trade
In a Chetwynd profile, Shirley Duran recalls starting as a cleanup worker at Canfor during school summers, then moving through kiln and saw roles before six years in the electrical department. She details an apprenticeship totaling four years with eight months of schooling and 40 months practical work, currently in year three, and notes evolving automated mill systems. The piece links her journey to broader advice on goal setting and career flexibility.
