BC Hydro seeks 9%+ rate hike for 2011 in filing
BC Hydro has filed for fiscal 2011 with the BC Utilities Commission proposing a 6.11 percent general rate increase and a 3 percent rise in the deferral account. Interim on April 1, 2010, with a fall decision. about 15 to 25 cents daily extra for residents. The plan funds a $1.77 billion capital reinvestment program including Gordon M Shrum, Revelstoke, Cheakamus, Fort Nelson, and Mica stations, plus transmission and distribution upgrades.
