Finavera wind project approved near Tumbler Ridge
British Columbia grants an environmental assessment certificate for Finavera Wind Energy's 49.6 MW wind farm eight kilometres southwest of Tumbler Ridge. The 33-turbine project aims to power about 18,000 homes and could begin construction by year end with operation targeted for 2013.
