Chetwynd tests local water taste mixtures

Denise Briggs reports residents sampled five water blends in Chetwynd including 100 percent well water and 100 percent river water plus mixes. Twenty three people tasted, eight favored well water while five disliked it, six preferred river water with two disliking it. The tests rated mixtures as muddy and metallic, suggesting limited appeal for blended water. Garry Kaulbach notes testing aims to assess feasibility of mixing, with full river-water return unlikely soon after extensive safety checks.
